Although carrot cultivation and management is simple, its germination rate is relatively low. This has a lot to do with our way of planting. If the planting method is wrong or improperly handled, it may not germinate or seriously lack of seedlings.

The early stage, seedlings grow slowly and are more resistant to high temperatures. In the later stage, fleshy roots forms and expands, and requires a cool climate to realize high-quality products. Therefore, in China, carrots are suitable for laminating-planting in spring and ground-opening-planting in autumn.

The soil layer is deep and fertile, and loose and transparent is a standard for high yield; on the contrary, the soil is sticky and easy to accumulate water, which is not suitable for planting carrots.

Sowing:
Carrot seeds are small and have many burrs on the surface. It is best to rub the seeds by hand before sowing, so that the surface of the seeds is exposed to the soil and the rate of budding is increased. If you don't rub the seeds, you should do a good job of soil management for sowing. Using a tractor-tracted vegetable seeder for seeding carrots, it will have better sowing effect and will be much faster.

Fine soil tillage is the premise. When the seeds are sowed, cover with soil and the soil is gently tapped, which can accelerate the time of germination and budding. But due to weak soil topping ability of the seedlings, soil cover should be thin or even without soil covering.

After sowing, water it according to the situation, keep the soil moist and speed up budding.
